cluster needle question

hi, i have a s4 TII, and i was wondering if there is anything i can do to get my needles to light up? i have white overlays and i dont like the "yellowish" light from the cluster reflecting off of them. I have heard that the s5 have needles that light up so what would i need to do to make it so mine did the same thing? i have a s5 cluster out of a 90 GTU w/ 9k tach for the swap if needed. thanks in advance.

The S5 needles don't light up in and of themselves, they are lit from the front.

Seems I recall there was a guy here who was trying to retrofit some real internally illuminated needles (like from a Lexus or something) but I don't know if he ever managed to get them working.

When I was running the Indiglo gauge faces I decided to increase the needle's visibility by painting them florescent orange.
That worked very well and I left the needles orange even after I removed the white overlays.

so u just painted them on the cluster? u just used some really bright *** orange? could i see a pic please? i'm really looking to get rid of the needle lighting because it reflected off of the gauge face but still have the needles light up.

P.S. i have the Euro gauges (just numbers and hash marks light up) not the full ulternate guage (face lights up not numbers)
