cluster guage light switch help?

cluster guage light switch help?

hey guys, my cluster guages back lights wont turn on when i try turning them on... also the lights behind the logicon isnt also turning... so i think my light switch is burnt out... anyways my question is, is there anyway i could hook up another switch so i could turn the cluster lights on?

i know for sure its my switch, so does anybody know which wire it is for the lights switch? and is it possible to just hardwire another switch so i can turn it on and off?

before you do the occasionally irritating work have you checked for faulty or dirty grounds? or a blown fuse.. you sould use a test light on all components tied into the switch, maybe a volt and amp test.

Remove the instrument surround and unplug the headlight switch. Use a paper clip to short across the white/green and red/green wires. If the lights come on, it's the switch. If they don't, it's not.

Putting a switch across those two wires will let you switch them on and off, but there's also a high risk of leaving them on and flattening your battery. Replace or repair the headlight switch instead.

15 amp fuse blown ...i have same problem some kind of short i think im in the process of tracking it down...its on the top row of the kick panel furthest back 15A check that 1st

If the 15A ILLUM fuse is blown then the taillights will also not be working. If they aren't, check the fuse. If they are, don't bother.

yeah my tails are working perfectly and i also checked the fuse and none are blown
