Clunking left front caliper....

I've had this problem since I bought the car, when I apply the brakes, my drivers side caliper pops as if it is being slammed against the bracket. I just recently changed out the front pads and checked everything for tightness and found no issues.

Anyone have any ideas? I did search, but too many posts came up that didn't pertain to my question.

Also check the caliper bolts to make sure they are tight. They can let the caliper move around under braking if loose.

actually now that you say that, the top inner piston was kinda hard to push back into the caliper, but wasn't too much harder than the rest, to make room for the new pads...might be a rebuild or just a swap off my parts car.
