well yes. i can get it started but it will cut right back off after a few seconds. the car was sittin for a like 6 months. and there is a bit of stuff wrong with it but it had 100 psi in the front rotor and 120 in the back. so what can cause it to cut off?

Hmmm...Thats a good one. What I would I do personally, is go ahead and pull the top half off and get a look at the injectors. There is a fairly inexpensive way to clean them yourself. While they are out, and the motor is apart, you can always zip-tie the injectors to the rails and do a leak check. Its generally accepted that if you have gas in your oil, then there is a MAJOR flooding problem. On a 7, this could be a number of things but very easy to diagnose. Fuel pump regulator is one of them. You gotta make sure that your regulator is bringing the pressure back down to 30 or so PSI. ACTUALLY, you may want to check that first.

Well, you are gonna need an inline pressure gauge. Basically you need a t-fitting in order to read system pressure while keeping the fuel circut intact. This gives you your pressure readings. I forget the exact numbers, but I THINK that idle readings are 28-30 PSI. My reading was 30 PSI. There is a vacuum line that attaches to your fuel pressure regulator on the front of your secondary fuel rail. As you increase your RPMs, your fuel pressure should increase correspondingly to about 40 or so PSI. Once again, this is hard to describe, I would post pics of my pressure testing setup, but I am at work right now. Most places like auto zone and the like dont have the generic pressure gauge you will need. Most likely you will be better off looking at an import place. My pressure rig was for reading Audi fuel systems, but it works the same.
