is the clock supposed to look burnt?

well i decided i was going to resolder one of the 3 idiot clusters i have laying around. mainly cause i want a clock... thats all i ask, for the fricken clock to work. well after i resoldered it i put it in and it works the same as the one that was already in there. after looking it and all the other idiot clusters i have i notice it looks like the clock is burnt. is it supposed to? i figure icemark should know!

edit; and whats the little scew thingy at the top right of the clock?
