cloaker I need your advice

I need a replacement for my passenger side steering rack bracket quickly. Locally their is nothing available but we have a junkyard; this is where cloaker chimes in with a amazing solution "just use a bracket from X vehicle".
I hope someone can give me some insight. Otherwise tomorrow I will take measurements and try my luck.
Oh and if anyone has one they can sell please let me know.
Thanks.

Oh I forgot to mention it is power steering, and I lost it after a rebuild and moving.

Never heard of cloaker..

That quote indicates that using ANY steering rack bracket that looks the same will pretty much work..

I've never looked for that bracket, so I have no magical junkyard swap advice to offer, sorry.

Sorry I should have checked your user name, I guess dyslexia and late night don't help spelling. I did call the dealer, they said the part was unavailable.
Anyways thank you.

then your next best bet is scour the junk yards or post a 'wanted to buy' ad in the for sale section.

i'm sure hyperflex makes a bushing kit that would work with minor modification, measure eye to eye and find a local muscle car shop and start comparing. a little dremeling of the mount holes won't kill the bracket.

I did that very thing when I mounted the FC manual rack into the FD, except I used Energy Suspension.

Trouble is, the power rack is a larger diameter, it may be tough finding a bushing that size...

oops, Hyperflex is a part series from energy suspension. i'm sure they do make larger brackets for some large sway bars that would work but it may be something you'd have to gamble with a special order and calling their tech support for. or fabricate something, should be identical for both sides iirc.

But it's not, of course.
The driver side bracket has four capture nuts, equally spaced from the bracket center.
The passenger side has two nuts and they are not spaced equally, there is a front and back to the bracket.

It wouldn't be hard to fab one... Provided the OP has the basic tools/material necessary.
