clicking noise under the glovebox. i

i searched and found threads related to clicking noises but none of them were coming from under the glove box. that where i hear the clicking.

it happens 5-10 minutes after my car has been turned off with no keys in the ignition. what could it be?

My exhaust always ticks, but from under the glove box maybe its some type of relay? That's weird.

Grab a screwdriver and start hunting. I think the inside of the glove compartment comes out, so you can look behind there while it's clicking.

so i took the glovebox apart and snapped these photos!

it was shy and didnt click much will i was looking but it did click a couple of times and i think i heard it coming from the box the red arrow is pointing to.

ill see if i can catch it clicking again and see where its coming from.
in the mean time, does anybody recognize a theft unit in the pictures? what do u think might be clicking?

Turn the radio off and then you won't have to hear it click anymore.

If it IS a relay, then the clicking is most likely caused by either a short in the power wire, or the low amperage control wire (the one that tells the relay to be on or off). This would make the arm in the relay move and click. The first thing I'd do is take a multimeter to the wires in that molex connector, find power, ground, control etc. You could also simply unplug it (with the car off) and see what happens.
