Question Clear tailights???

I`ve been looking around briefly on the internet for clear tailights for my 1990 GXL. I like the "skyline like" circle ones I have right now, but clear ones with the same cricles would look really good during the day. If you know if or where they are available, drop a line. Also, someone told me that I could sell the ones I have for like $800 cdn a peice!! Peace.

ummm....RX7withNitrous...it depends on what kind of clear lights he's talking about that would make it a ricer IMO. If it's the one's that have clear with the red lenses, then those ones are cool, and would look good on, say, my white Vert, although I might not suggest it on any other colors. However, if it's the lenses that are completely clear and you have to find the colored bulbs for, then no, don't be a ricer...

although, if you manage to actually find clear lights, then bravo to you, cuz I've looked and I've yet to come up with any...

make them

find a plastics or sign company and buy the plastic stock and make your ouwn, it's not that hard if you have a heat gun and a few metal bars to bend around, I made a sweet pair of colored matched blue backs with red circle lenses (skyline like) for a civic that belongs to my firned and they are nice, just takes some time and trials

oh HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NO!!!....

i dont care what kind of "clear light" it is... even the words "clear taillights" do NOT belong on this forum...talk about rice....jesus...

sorry guys but most of the reason there is no RICER mods for our cars is because there arent very many people out there willing to rice out their 7...so if you want clear taillights i suggest you buy a honduh cibic...

First off, let me point out something to you. Opinions are not fact. Just because you think they're ricey and look ugly, doesn't mean that they do to everyone. If you don't agree, voice your opinion but at least do it in a not so threatening manner, all you're doing is starting arguements and making other rx7 owners get a bad experience here and not want to return.

hey having brand spanking new taillights, no matter what they are is better than having 15yo lights on a nice shiny car!

I would only do that if my FC was threatened to be blown up. No Wait!! I would rather see it blown up. I think it would suffer less like that. If you find them make sure the lenses are colored atleas thant way they will look like the stock ones that come on new cars and not altezzas.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of carbon fiber tail lights. Would have to be original, but I think it might look good. Would just have to see them first. But S5 lights look good as hell too Too bad I haven't done one damn thing to my cars appearance

I wouldn't mind if there were a set that looked identical to the alteza's or euros, but that's just my opinion. I don't think they'd look good with every paint scheme, especially my black car, I think the stock match best for that.

See I have to agree, it all just depends. I would maybe shy away from anything close to altezzas just because of the rice scene, but I wouldn't mind something a little different. I bet corksport might be interested in making some.

the only reason why clear (euro, altezza) lights are rice is because its popular and whatever is popular is considered rice... im not sure if there are any for rx7s but ppl here have no right to flame someone for his/her likes or dislikes.

Funny how many S5 owners think that their own lights don't look cool and want to replace them with something everyday and common like that are found on a Lexus or half the ricer Hondas out there.

NO. If I find you EVER, I will personally smash those lights.

Not really, but you get the point. Everyone who owns an RX-7 would like to personally beat you down. So far the riceboys haven't hit RX-7's, and we'd like to keep it that way.

Uh RX-7's are popular and they are not rice. Oh and the fact that the RICE community in most if not all the country uses the clear tail lights makes them rice. I used to like them when the ricers did not use them on CIBIKs and pick up trucks with wings on the back. I would only buy something that is original and rare. One reason I have an RX-7. I would have some specialy made for me and pay the guy extra to destroy the mold and whatever notes and materials that he used. I like to set myself apart and not follow the fads and trenyness of the RICER community.

You know what 1990GXL, forget all these bias opinionated folks. They're all just rice-phobic. They're scared to be considered rice in the slightest form. Wings, euro tail lights, stickers.. It's the same. But forget them. Because it's what makes you happy. They can talk rice trash all they want, but there are cars that are GORGEOUS, with crazy mods and have wings, stickers, and euros, and they look fantastic. People have frequently asked about where to get euro's, but it's always been to no avail. At one point, a member here made some of his own, that looked decent, but they were in the S4 form and had 3 brake bulbs and sections with semi circles. Not exactly clean. Very nice for home made though. I've never seen any in S5 form (complete circles). So unfortunately, they're pretty much unavailable. But don't stop looking. Manufactures are picking up on RX7 stuff more and more these days.

And to you guys out there who say that they will come and kill him, or smash his lights if he gets euros? That's sweet. If him getting those lights, and putting them on is rice, that makes you guys WORSE than ricers. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Truly pathetic.

-Kanaida
