cleaning the injectors

Hi guys!

So, i have the 3.8k rpm hesitation, i've tried all tricks (TPS, grounding etc.) but it's still there
so i will clean my secondarys...

what i have to do to get them out? its an S4 turbo... are there any problems?

Cleaning the injectors won't help that 99999 out of 100000 times.
BUT, the secondary injectors are the ones that are easiest to get to if i'm not mistaken... shouldn't be too much trouble to get out, just don't go and turn the fuel pump on or anything while the injectors are out

Pull the intercooler, upper intake manifold, all the vacume lines, throttle body water lines, OMP rod connection at the TB, disconnect the BAC, and then remove the secondary fuel rail via 2 12mm bolts. Just unplug the injectors and call it good.

PLEASE de pressurize the fuel system before you yank the injectors.
Did you try running a ground from the injector block ground to the battery?

He means that the fuel in the lines is under pressure even when the car is not running and if you disconnect a fuel line without somehow safely releasing the pressure you will have fuel spraying all over the place. One way to depressurize the lines is to pull the fuel pump fuse and run the car until it dies. (Don't forget to reinsert the fuse before starting the car.)

curious thought ...i have been able to remove fuel lines and fuel filter with out depressurizing the fuel system and yet only have drips of fuel come out ...anyone with a thought on that?

also ...check out cruzin performance for injector cleaning.

Just a note, if you're going to send your injectors out to be cleaned, that means your car will be down for the week and half or so it takes for the round trip... Why not send ALL of you injectors, instead of having to take the car down for another week and a half later?

ok, i've messed up with that bolt *urgh*

now i can lift the UIM but he won't go off

so, i've disconnected the following lines...

3 little vacuum lines in front of the UIM
1 big line which is going to the brake booster in back of the UIM
1 oil rod (?)

the connector for the BAC, TPS and air intake temp sensor...

i can see a line which is going from the bottom of the UIM into the top of the engine... is this the cooling line which was mentioned from higgi? (this line really sucks, it won't pop off)

have i forgotten anything?

can anybody give me a checklist like above for reinstall? i hope the car will run again lol :/
which bastard has constructed this engine? i've worked on several bmws, audis and vw's, but never get fu**ed so hard like the past 2 days

Also had the hesitation on my NA. I got new injectors and used them as primaries and put the old primaries in the secondary line - no hesitation anymore! The old secondarys had a black crust on them which the primaries hadnt...

That coolant line you are talking about ...I had to cut off to remove the UIM. I still haven't been able to remove the remaining pieces though. I think I'll have to use a razor and slice a cut down the side. It's a good idea to replace it while your there though.
