cleaning during rebuild...

what kind of solvent should i use for cleaning my parts (i got it all torn down, just ready for cleaning now)

i was thinking lots of carburator cleaner since we dont have a parts cleaner tank. any objections?

why would you need a parts cleaner tank? anything that will hold parts and liquids will work, walmart sells big *** like 30 gallon plastic tubs, they work great.... as for the parts cleaner, i dunno, i've never found anything that worked too well

For the rotors (things that have carbon all over) =Chem Dip Carb cleaner. The can I bought has a basket in it for small items. The really samll springs go in a Baby food jar with Chem dip.

The large items (housings and Irons) Take them to the machine shop and have them clean the stuff in their parts washer. It will take about 15 mintues and it will look new, and only for a few bucks.

Don't spen your life cleaning......Paint that ****.
