Cigerette Lighter problem

Well i just remounted my head unit on the top mounting position from the bottom position.. last time when i put my head unit it the cigerette lighter fell out... i didnt care for it at the moment since i was in a rush... this time i worked real carefulyl and take my time...

my problem is from last time when the cigerette lighter fell out i think the previous owner ripped the wiring or something... cause i cannot find the actual connecter for the cigerette lighter... all i have is a bulb.. but i did notice t hat ehre was a wire which was gone...

wat would be the easiest way to fix this.. i was thinking of pulling one from a junkyard but i would still need the way to rewire it agian.. all help is appreciated.. thanks

Easiest fix= Stop at 7-11 and get a bic for a buck, or quit smoking

Other wise take off the stereo/vent surround (very cafefully) and poke around in there, the connecter is like L shaped, and the wires are taunt so if it is there it could not have gone far. If it's not there, the plugs can be put on with 2 normal blue female connectors.

if the wiring is cut for the lighter its no easy project. The side panel located by the passangers left foot does come out. but it won't lead you very far. You might be able to find it that way. If anything it would be way in the back of the center counsel. The best way i think you could find it is by taking out the tape player/cdplayer/ radio which ever you have, and taking out the holder/bracket for it and try to look deep into the center counsel for it. i'd say its you best shot otherwise the only thing i can think of is tearing the whole dash apart.

hell, I just ripped my ciggarette lighter out and left the clip there, no use for it and it just made the stereo surround harder to get out.

i'm sure it is but i don't know how to hook it up, i never really saw where the wire for the ciggerette lighter lead to. You might want to look into the wiring diagrams of the car see if you can find where the ciggarette lighter would be in the dash. That would be my best guess

I have the same problem. I've tried poking around, and didnt get much. When the weather gets better, I'll go back at it with a continuity tester.
