Chugging Motor
I have tried quite a bit now to solve my chugging issue on low rpm. The car just chugs and may die. So I swapped computers, afm, tps and checked the timing, ignition etc. I am now thinking that the fuel pressue regulator is not working. Reted told me a while back that if I do not get an aftermarket FPR since I put the walbro in that my stock FPR would go bad. I think that this would explain how the higher you rev the motor the better it sounds. Letting off of the gas is fine in higher RPM's. There is a bad stinch of gas as well. Opinions please I cannot think of anything else to check besides this. I will probably just go buy an aftermarket FPR to try but all info is appreciated. My mods are below.
Thanks

Define chugging...
How does it start up?
Maybe run a compression check, then check your injectors and wires, FPR, and TPS. I have seen a TPS go bad and make the engine cut to one rotor at various throttle positions.
IM guessing by chugging youre talking about rough running. Does it start and idle like a lawnmower? That is an indicator of running on only one rotor, be it due to compression loss, a bad fuel injector or trigger wire, etc.

Define Chugging, I am not sure how to define it. When you try to let the car idle it chug, chug, chugs itself until you get to higer rpms say between 4-5 and then life is well. It all happened between me going into work and coming back out to go to a meeting and when I turned the key this started happening. The car was running perfect before I got out to run into work. Also I had the Fuel Injectors cleaned and blue printed less than 5k ago. The spark plugs are new the wires are new. I have tested the wires, coil, tps, etc. I would think that if the FPR is bad that this would happen to the car. I pulled the vac line off of the regulator and there is no gas in it. I have done this since the first post. So now I don't think it is the FPR. What about the pulsation damper? Any ideas there?

Do a compression test. You are not really looking for specific numbers, more like 3 even bounces per rotor. But it really does sound like internal engine trouble.

IF you decide to fix it, consider letting me rebuild you an engine, I can do so for $1000 or so. Check out www.rotaryresurrection.com
