choking type problem
choking type problem
Ok, heres the problem, When I first got my car, it would drive good in low RPMs but when I would floor it it would raise up good but until like 5000 RPM, then it would like choke or like pull, I hope u know what I mean. I asked around to the people I know and they said it was the fuel filter. I got one and I replaced it. The problem is it is still doing it. Does the fuel filter have to get worn in or what? You put the filter in by where it says "in" on the top if where the fuel is coming from the tank right? I hope I didnt put it wrong. Please flame me to hell if I did get it wrong

Alright, I'll check that, oh yea, its an 87 TII but its a N/A from an 86 GXL but everything else(fuel pump, driveshaft, differential [ oh, btw, is it LSD? ] lights [S5] and other stuff) I bought the car with a blown engine so had to buy another rx7 take the engine and sold the body with an AT transmission, got 300 from it. I'll check the IC and see if the throttle opens and I'll check the voltage on the fuel pump.
Non=Turbo in a Turbo car? Yes. That's what I read. I'd suspect the boost/pressure sensor was NOT changed out when you had the non-turbo put in the car. They are radically different, even if they look identical.
Which ECU. Turbo or Non-turbo??? Whats the N number written on it??? N332 or N326 or N333 or?????????
Did they make the proper wiring changes on the install??????
Are the injectors high or low resistance?

I don't know. A turbo ECU on a non turbo engine. Seems the fuel maps if there were/are such things would be off. I'm not real sure about that and how the engine would act. I'll think about it.
Were any adjustments made to any of the wiring when the change over was made. I went from non turbo to turbo and there were about four or five wires that I had to make adjustments for. None real serious. Later, off to work now.
