Checking a TII tranny
A guy I know has a few TII trannies sitting around his shop and made me an offer that I can't pass. He said I could buy one install it and if it was no good come back grab another one, untill I find one that is good. My question is whether or not you check if a trannie is good or not outside of a car? Thanks

Damn good question. I too want to know if this is possible as well, but then again if you think about it, its impossible without it in the car. Theres no way you can check by turning it or something, you'd have to dissasemble it and take a look at the parts if its not already in the car.

I think I'm addicted
1st to 2nd syncros or 3rd to 2nd syncros.... is gone... try chaning the tranny fluid to redline MT-90
anyways, I wanted a way to know that as well.. but i figured it is impossible....
whats worse is that the tranny i bought grinds going into 5th...
but the only way i can think of is to put it on the car and test....
