Check Valve
It depends which check valve. If its the one at the very back of the throttle body then it's for the double throttle diaphram and is dedicated to cold starts and effects not much of anything otherwise. Just plug the vac line.
If it's the one in the mist of the solenoids, then it's for err, ah, errr, ahl.........I forget. IF its the one at the front of the solenoids it's for the Twin Scroll Solenoid for the turbo. I'd fix that one but if you don't it means the twin scroll is wide open all the time and the turbo might be a touch slower to spool up. Some don't even notice it.

The one from the UIM to the TB is for the double throttle system. It's what holds the secondary throttles closed until the engine warms up. If you're not going to replace, or until you do, cap the nipple on the UIM to fix the vac leak.
