Check out this turbo

Does it look like the housings have been clocked on this turbo or is that exactly how it is supposed to sit on the manifold?

From what I've seen, when the stock turbo is on the manifold the compressor outlet points upward.

You can turn the housing any way you need to. Some have it up while others point it slightly down towards the wheel.

well sure, you can turn the housings any way you want, but the wastegate actuator wont line up forever. I think if I mounted this up on the factory manifold the compressor outlet would be pointed straight at the side of the engine bay, which would present a problem.

Actually, the wastegate actuator bolts on the backing plate, and not the actual compressor housing. So, it will always line up, no matter what way you turn the housing.

Aside from the technical aspects of the turbo, realize that this seller is apparently brand new to eBay...has not bought or sold anything before...and is listing this unit for a rediculously low price with no reserve. So as a potential buyer...BEWARE!

Yea, I saw that and it's got me kinda worried. But if you were gonna scam someone, wouldn't you want to get more than 40 bucks out of it?

Yeah I'd be cautious of this one. Brand new to ebay, and listing the FC turbo for hondas and DSMs...I'd get one off the classifieds instead, they are on there all the time.

I would feel better about it if he had at least bought something, lol. Only other listings I've seen for the HT-18 have been rebuilt and $200+.

I'll have to check out them classifieds.
