Seats for FC that sit lower

I have an 86 FC w/ a sunroof. My head rubs the ceiling and the steering wheel is pretty much on my legs, even tilted all the way up.

Is there a good solution out there to lower the driver's seat that people are using? I'm 6'1"/225 lbs, not overly large.

Man, I'm 6 foot, I don't remember being that close to the roof when I had an 86. But I do know what you mean, and I'd like to know too. Seems like head clearance in verts is less than the hard tops.
My legs rub too, so does my head

Im 6'2'' my head touches the roof Only if i sit up straight and perfect. I sorta git that lean going and get about 2 3 inches of head room. No trouble at all with leg room. my father owned one brand new in 86 and he is 6'6'' and his head touched the roof. but had plenty of leg room. however maybe we just have short torsos. dunno. You could take the seat out. take the back cardboard out where the Bins are and make a custom seat.

Bride Gias or MemoryFab copies. Pretty much any racing seat you can get or make super low rails for.

You can gain about an inch- maybe a bit more- by deleting the sliding rails and bolting the seat in directly.
You lose forward/backward adjustability but gain some headroom using the stock seats.

In any case, the driver's seat is easy but the passenger side is a bear.
Passenger side is asymmetrical in both the height and hole spacing.

seat all the way back

If I put my seat all the way back I cant even reach the pedals, I'm 6' 160lbs

my heads like 1" from the roof, I keep myself very straight cause I like to beable to see the front as much so I can be 1337 and squeeze by people lol, never feels right in the fc leaned back

This is in a 91 w/sunroof

Sparco Speed on a OEM FC base. I'm 6'3 and with a helmet on I just touch the headliner. I have a sunroof.

I now have a Autopower race roll bar and G-Force harness, and the seat fits great.

hmmm.....I'm 5'11" 140lbs and my hair rubs the ceiling, if I sit up straight my head hits the ceiling tho.....it didn't when I had the vert tho which I find amusing......I must have short legs and a long torso or something for all these 6'+ guys saying they don't hit or barely hit
