HELMET CAM!!!

here is a video af my first run at the gainesville autocross this afternoon.

pay close attention 15 sec. in. i shifted, got the car of balance, and then tried to do the slallom. well just watch the vid.

sorry about it pointed at the wheel most of the time, it was the helmet cam's maiden voyage, and i probobly should have been looking further down the track anyway. hehe

this was my first run, my next runs were both about 6 sec. faster.

the fd in the other vid is "evot23". we were both out killing cones while "tie pilot" watched and "sureshot" took pics.

i want to thank "sure shot" for making the helmet cam and hosting the video.

 

damn I'm getting 5k for the down load. I'll let you all know how it is next week.

its supposed to be about 2 mins? man i wish i knew more about this stuff. try "rightclick savetarget as..."

 

hmm when I had right clicked it to "save target" it gave me 300kb of it. now I just clicked on it and its 8mb stupid IE >:<

just givin you a hard time. other than the tires, how did your car feel out there?

 

Not bad not bad. Engine sounded nice. Mine has a nasty backfiring noise whenever I'm winding down cuz I think I'm running too rich. Also I think I've got a boost leak somewhere I'm grounding it tomorrow in the garage and tearing it down.

nah poping when you are off the trhottly is normal and its actauly not bad because it means you are getting plenty of feaul. you can fix it by leaning things out with an safc, but who doesnt want to throw popping flames!

oh. the car felt pretty good. its not as predictable as i would like because this is an ALL stock suspension. as you could see it will ge a little squirely if not set up for a corner right. sooner or later ill do some suspension work. get new bushings, springs and shocks. come on IRS i need my refund!

 

Well my exhaust current ends where the downpipe SHOULD be. long story, the flange broke when I was pulling off my catback. :shrug: 17 year old rusty parts... I guess the story wasn't that long.
So shooting flames towards my fuel tank and such = no thanks. I looked though, so far no melting parts. and I go up on blocks tomorrow for the cleaning up and removing of various useless parts.
