Check out my injectors, and tell me one more thing.. (pics)
damn.. I spent probably a good long hour and a half checking out my whole fuel system.. Basically when I say fuel system I mean the whole TB assembly and the attaching lower intake manifold that goes to the block. I took it off after checking every cable, memorizing where every little vacume tube, throttle assembly piece etc goes. I must have read the FSM about 5 times before I even started to get a good idea what needs to be unattached for it to come off.
Why I did this is simple, to get at the injectors and get em cleaned.
When I got the whole upper part off, the block and EGR valve along with the primary injectors were fully exposed, ready to be pulled. I removed the two mounting bolts and carefully pulled off the fuel assembly, then I pulled the injectors out. They were covered in all kinds of ****, but the tips of them looked reasonably clean.. except for this...
See the crack? ****... I have a feeling that this would allow them to have a shitty spray, and just overall create problems.. but im not sure, thus the post.
THe second thing I had to ask was after I get new or cleaned injectors, what kind of hoses/gaskets would you recommend for re-assembly of the upper parts?
Any seals, vacume tubing, etc you could 'specifically' recommend from mazdatrix? or anywhere else for that matter? specifics would be nice
thx for the input

You have cracked pintle caps!
When you get them cleaned by cruzin performance they replace the pintle caps orings etc as part of the process.
By the way if those are 460cc Low impedance injectors I have some that have already been cleaned and tested ready to go I will sell you.
As far as the vacuum hoses they sell silcone that most people use for the replacement hose. The fuel line hose if replaced has to be the the high pressure fuel injection type, normal fuel hose will not with stand the pressure over time.

I havent checked out the secondaries, but Im pullin em when I get home tonight. Are the primarys different than the secondarys for the N/A 87? I thought they were both the same cc for the n/a, but could be wrong.. I just don't want to mix em up.
That vacume hose kit, its for the 3rd gen, but can I use most of those hoses on the second gen?
