check engine light on when full throttle???

check engine light on when full throttle???

When I floor it the check engine light comes on and i go from 9 psi (stock) down to 5 psi. What do ut hink the problem could be? If i dont floor it it does ok though. Thanks

Well if the CEL came on it should still be stored in the ECU so pull the code.

that's been covered just recently. I believe that someone said CEL under boost indicates knocking. Try a search. I think you can find the thread.

The code comes up as tps. I just got a new used tps and it helped what it was doing beofre( hesitating all over the place) Now just when i floor it itll lose power and when i rev to about 6k and more itll bog down sometimes

have you tested hte impedence of the tps? it should make a smooth sweep from 0-5k ohms. If there are spikes and dropoffs... you will have problems. my old tps had a very terrible sweep. it went 0k-1k-2k-3k-4k-6k-8k-10k-12k-8k-6k. now that was terrible.

I had a little bit of a boost leak and i fixed that so now it doesnt drop as much and the cel still comes on at full throttle. It came up 12 and 18 so its the tps im gonna try to adjust it again. While im in there i will go ahead and glue my chipped apex seal back together

Because a chipped apex seal in conjunction with a CEL is a direct result
of low tire pressure caused by low compression, becoming a vicious circle.
