Check Engine Light ( Limp Mode )

My light is coming on and the car ( 91 vert n/a ) is going into limp mode. it will do this every 10 to 15 min. ive replaced the omp and checked all the wireing. I cannot read the codes because they are temporary and as soon as i turn off the ignition it resets. I have heard that driving with a bad omp can damage the ecu. if anyone has some suggestions i could use all the help i can get.

I just got off the phone with the previous owner he said he replaced the omp twice thinking he bought a defective one. so i dont think this is the case.

Should i try replacing the ecu. if so anyone have an s5 ecu for sale.
i have done my research and everyone immediatly points to the omp. what else could cause this? PLEASE HELP!!!

get a multimeter and test the OMP as spec in the FSM, if it is working then it is obviously something else. Do the same with the ECU and then move on cuz my gut says you are ok there. It may be as simple as replacing the o2 sensor, but it could be more involved. search for "limp mode" "cause"
