i think it cleans the fumes from the gas tank air. or something like that. it is just an air filter, after all

it also has a line which run directly to the oil; fill tube and I think that line has to be capped... It think it sees vaccum...

no dont cap it, it has to breath, just loop the small oil breather outlet by the oil filler neck (engine block) and the Top of the oil filter neck (small tube) together, and put alittle filter between the two,

I wish people would stop saying to take it off. it helps remove the fuel smell from your engine bay but just leave it there it has a use and its only taking up a little space there is no need to take it off. Ive taken all i can off my car but i still have that...

yea thats a must. my exhaust leak is really bad right now and i can smell fuel and all kinds of junk in my car right now. i can engine if the engine bay was full with the same smell

The smell of perforamnce is fuel I yanked mine and never had any MAJOR problems. Except my g/f would never ride w/ me because my car reeked of gas....and had no a/c....and was loud as HELL.....and was "too fast"...and...
