Changing Vert Top

I am going to be changing the top on my vert. Got one that is in great shape that was on EBay. Seems like it is a pretty straight forward job. Any thing that I should know in adavance?
thanks,
Bob

Yes if you need to replace the bolts/snaps for the boot you are really screwed. $15 bolt, $25 snap $85 the 2 peice snap/bolt. Otherwise it is supposed to bot be too bad. Just follow the instructions in your FSM. Try a google search on it i know there is a step by step out there somewhere.
I said screw it and im paying someone to do it.

I've replaced tops for both a miata and rx-7. The process goes much easier if you leave the top spread out on a driveway for several hours on a sunny day before you start. This will allow the top to stretch much easier around the frame; plus there is less of a risk you might tear it.

They are also available here. You can also get the rear window framework if it is rusted to hell.

I will be doing this to mine in the near future, except I am going to put a nice tan german cloth canvas top on mine instead of the black vinyl.
