Changing Top Motors On My 88 Vert

Exclamation Changing Top Motors On My 88 Vert

Has anyone on this forum replaced their convertible top motors. I will be replacing mine later this week. Would someone please let me what steps to take and inform me if this is a difficult task. All replies will be appreciated. Thanks.

top will not go down

tried to get the top down. have 12 volts coming from switch. checked plug by the strut tower.

mine has the same problem...... just remove the motors. the top isnt that heavy to put up and down...... weight reduction.

There is a pretty complete troubleshooting proceedure in the Factory service manual. Don't buy new motors and do all that work until you are certain that the new motors are the solution. Throwing parts at a problem is an expensive habit.

Just my 2 cents.
