Changing O-Rings = Buddy or Bitch?
Well I actually have several questions
1. If my O-rings are leaking will the oil be within the engine compartment or would it be internally leaked into the engine?
2. How much of a trouble and what kinds of tools would I need to change my O-rings. Is it worth it to send it to a certified Mazda Dealership or would it be better to try it with a bunch of gear heads?
3. Why the hell does my car not start? It sounds like it is almost there and it will just die out. Would it be spark>? Battery? Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Something unpluged or unwirred?
4. In this case, what batterys are good and what kinds have their weaknesses? If anyone has any good suggestions than try and leave web site or cost.
Thanks

its probably flooded. if it is, try the unflood procedure. just do a quick search for it, its all over. if u cant find it here, rx7.com has a good guide to fixing it. if its not that, then u might wanna check the throttle postion sensor, and the fuel pump.
about the oil seals, ive got the same problem, how many miles have you got? im at 163k. so im yanking the motor, porting it, and replacing all the seals. im just waiting to get enough money. its a good reason to port the motor! get some templates at racing beat or mazdatrix. a friend w/ a gearhead dad should have a dremel. good luck man...

I am in process of changing the damn plugs however I don't want it to be the TPS(300+) or Fuel Pump. However, if that is what it is than that is what it is. Oh yea and mine is about 20,000 miles below yours.
On the question about 0'rings, if I were you I'd scope out the factory manual at http://www.iluvmyrx7.com and look at the rebuild proceedure. Not sure which o'rings you refer too. Whether the ones on the rotors or the ones that seal the oil passage b/t the housings, a full rebuild is required. Yup. Sounds like you need a fuel cut switch. Radio Shack. Three bucks or less for a switch. Couple of bucks for some wire and splices.
Bitch - especially if that is all that is wrong, otherwise its a great time to do an engine rebuild with an otherwise good condition engine.
Did I use the word otherwise to many times? I was just wondering because if I did I'll try to use another word next time, otherwise I'll continue to use the word otherwise.

Well thanks for all the assistance. It did turn out to be the plugs. I put two new pairs in and it turned over nicely. I hate the fact that the plugs are where they are. I am going to have someone make me a ratchet that comes out than up so I can sit there and calmly take them out, unless I was previously unaware that such an apparatus existed. Anyway about the o-rings their on my oil so I was wondering what a rebuild compared to dropping a new motor would cost me? Thanks for the help
