That's pretty much all the preventive maintenance one can do.

Since we should assume all fluids are original when we purchase the car, it is cheap insurance to go ahead and change it anyway just to be sure of the type and viscosity. With experience we should be able to judge by color, texture and smell if you're a guru.

Engine-drain/refill
Trans-drain/ gravity feed
Diff-drain/ pump
coolant-radiator/block drain plugs
wiper-turn wiper on to drain
brake-siphon somehow
ps-?
clutch-
gas- drain plug- intank/inline fuel filter

The brake and ps I don't know what to do. Is it possible to get some type of needle and siphon the old out. I'm worried with the foam floaty under the brake resevoir cap. Its in the way.


Anyway, with any fluid that is very old you'll need to change it several times before you resume the scheduled maintenance since some is left in the journals.

As for me, I always drain cold. There is no sense in having scalding hot oil bake your hand when the engine only felt room temperature.

Warm/hot engine oil drains lots faster than cold and when its warm the gunk that builds up also comes out easier.

I need to change all my fluids. Its expensive, but very worth it.

I'm not sure what you're asking?

but the floaty in the brake reservoir lifts out of the way.

the clutch I would probably just open the bleeder on the slave, pump most of the fluid through, and then fill it up with fresh fluid and continue bleeding until it's clear.
