Maybe..But oddly enough, they seem to sell for more money.

But opinions are just that, opinions.

Bah, paint it, I have the same opinion on white cars as I do on red cars...THERE'S TOO MANY OF THE DAMNED THINGS ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!! My only real kick in the nuts on this subject is that my vert is white.

in the end, its your car. my AE is gonna get painted black.
I agree any RX-7 isn't much of a collectors car anyways. There just isn't that much demand.

A 10th AE will only be worth anything in the collectors market if its bone stock, all original everything, with low mileage.

Sure AE's sell for a little bit higher, but most people still want S5 TII's over 10th AE's.

I was at the mall several weeks ago and in the parking lot were two FCs; a silver SE and a bright yellow 10th AE. The SE was pretty ragged, but the 10th AE was even worse. The stock wheels were painted yellow, along with the taillights. It looked like **** and was pretty depressing to see. Upon closer examination, I saw that the interior was "riced" out, i.e, he carried the yellow theme throughout the cabin. The "Akimoto Racing" seatbelt pads and huge Autometer tach only conspired to make me want to vomit, but since I was with my mother, I gathered my reserve and held my stomach contents down.

You guys need to read.
It says he's got an 88 GTU

Most of the people replying to this thread seem to be forgetting that we are talking about an AE, not just a 'regular' 7.

Well I am leaving mine UC white, no matter what.
If I wanted a black T2 I would have bought a black T2 (& saved some $$).
Then again, I am not a big believer in appearance mods anyway. I like the fact that it looks bone stock until you open up the hood
Besides, for some reason cops seem to ignore white cars, so I see the color as license insurance...

My TII was white but i painted it charcoal grey....people say it looks better grey than it was white.......but i personally like the color of the car now than before... i kno it would ruin the history by changing it to a different color....but i dont have an intention to sell my TII.....but its all your decision and what you want to do with your car...if you want to leave it white...go for it....if you wanna change it go for it....all up to you man.....

What's the point of buying a AE if you're going to change the whole paint scheme and everything under the hood? Why not just buy a regular TII?

Yo,

Keep it white. If you do decide to paint it another color...take the 10th AE badges off...because it's not a 10th AE any more.

Yeah..All white with badges, MOMO steering wheel, leather interior......ETC

And a certain VIN.

And you think mine at 67000 miles isnt worth anything?

Whatever.....
I don't like leather, it just lets the driver slide around. 10AE's are also heavier than any other 88t2 from all the extra's you get with the car. In my mind heavy is bad.

Worth just the same as any other 88t2 plus maybe 500 dollars. Turbo II's in general are 10-15 years old, and go for cheap as it is. I wouldn't buy a car expecting it to be an investment I would make money on regardless.

Paint it black

FC look really good with white i think im painting my 10 AE white i was gonna go with red or black but i decided to keep it white

there isnt that much of a wieght difference. the only diffences between a 10AE and a 88 TII are little stuff like a steering wheel and a one peice shifter boot and shift ****. the tags on the fenders. if you wanna make a big thing about adding little bits of weight why dont you think twice before you buy a gauge or a new shift **** it might be to heavy.

Okay junior,

I think I made it pretty plain earlier, but you kids keep bringing it up. Maybe its my old age or something, but I am not driving my 10th purely for speed. Sure, I have mods and all that, but part of its appeal in my eyes is the uniqueness of the car itself.

You guys want to go and repaint it flaming pink or whatever, go ahead! In the long run, you are going to regret that mistake.

And for the rest of you little ricers that have the misfortune of owning a 10th AE. STOP! DONT DO IT! Put the stickers down, and step away from the fart pipe!

Sell it to me, or someone else that can apprecite the car, and go buy a HONDA!

sheesh!
