i am planning on making a carbon fiber sunroof panel for myself. But wanted to know if anyone else out there makes them. If so who?

No need for it to open, just the CF filler panel is fine by me. Mine doesn't work anyway, and I'd love to get rid of some top of the car weight.

The majority of the weight is in the tray and supporting stuff to make the panel open. The actually part that closes isn't very heavy at all.

There is a guy in P.R. that makes them (or at least gets them), I don't know how much he charges for them; he did mentioned that the last one he sold, the guy placed a $300 deposit on it!!

I was (still are) afraid to ask the total price

Sorry, but I dont agree with that. Maybe it is different on an FD, but when I took my sunroof panel apart, the roof itself outweighs the track assembly by at least 2 times.

I did a quick search on ebay, and the arospeed website, and didn't find anything

I will keep my eyes open, I rather replace the old rusty one than bondo it
