i finished making one out of fiberglass and will be correcting a few waves on it and smoothing out the gauge pod tomorow and into the next day and then I will be making another mold from it. Once I have finished the mold then I will begin another CF layup. If it comes out good then it will probably be wednesday. I will probably forget on thursday and have my head up my *** on friday. I will remember and try to box it up on saturday and get distracted and play call of duty all day. I will then finish boxing it on sunday. Ship it out next monday if all goes well God willing? That is assuming we will all be living by next week.
any thoughts on making the surounding of the A/C and radio out of CF??? that would nice with the dash cover! sorry to bug you for all this stuff and make requests, your person doing a great thing! THANKS!!!!!

that is a prototype....i have decided to make a fiberglass one out of that same mold and smooth out some lines.....then remold it and make another out of cf. The one in the pic was an experiment to see where i would have problems with the layup. SO next one out should be much better....i am also going to cover the entire thing in cf as well including the guage pod....it wont be seamless but hey what the hell....it'll look pretty good.

well i can do it like fc3sorg did where they just have the front gel coated....but i like it with the cf and it will have seams on the back and the side...like fc3sorgs on the far left
just want to know how deep is that gauge mounting area
i just have some 2 1/16" boost gauge came in yesterday and found out they are like 2 1/2" at the back, just want to make sure yours will clear it
not to be picky but i am wondering is the gauge area facing upwards too much, or are you going to make kinda like a shade, border thing like the idiot surround, it might look better that way too

the way it is now is the way it stays...once i have something in fiberglass like in a mold or something it doesnt change. I beleive it was something like 75 millimeters, or 2.75 inches or something...i will measure it later...
