CDI Ignition Box Question

I've been looking at the Cran Cames and MSD web sites and I've noticed that they don't list any of their CDI units as being compatible with a rotory. So which one do I need. They only list 4 cyl, 6 cyl and 8 cyl.

If anyone with a Crane Cams HI 6 or MSD 6AL could give me the part number that would be even better, but any help is great.

Thanks

I have an MSD 6AL. on my leading coils. You need two for the trailing alone, so I don't have htem. You set it up for a 6 cyl if I remember right. Bothe can be hooked up. Search this and fc3.org and you will find lenty of info. Also, if you call MSD, or buy it from Summit, they can send or email you a diagram. But, if you look at the standard MSD diagram and look in the shop manual, you can figure it out.

Get the ones without the rev limiters.
The rev limiter is basically useless.

Crane Cams - get the "HI-6" *NOT* the "HI-6S"
MSD - get the 6A or (if you got a lot of money), the Digital-6
Mallory has a cheaper box called the Hy-Fire VI-A

Crane Cams Hi-6 CDI part no. 6000-6440

for some damn reason this is the one Summit racing has, and it cost me 215... =(
i've seen others that sell a unit that is similar, (i think a little less features, or this one has more wires for ford or something) for less... go look around, but this is the part i got and it works great =) first tank, driving 65mph all the way, 20mpg (i was getting 16 before) then now with high revs, city driving, boosting this and that, i get high 18 mpg.... so its worth it...

The MSD is the standard... I was on the fence about the mallory and decided the hell with it, i'll fork out 40 bucks more and get an MSD because, well, i've never used the mallory stuff before...

Don't bother witht he rev limiter because moslt likely you'll only be using the box on the leading coils... guess what... if the leading coils stop firing because the rev limiter on the box... the ECU is still going to fire the trailings!!!!!!

I have a MSD Digital 6. The rev limiter does not work and I doubt a tach hooked to it would be accurate. It did increase my highway milage by 2-3 mpg and the tone of the exhaust seems to have changed.
