CD player

how does one tell if an 1991 S5 had a CD player or not.

it's a cloth 2+2 turbo if that helps, but power everything minus a sunroof.

Icemark, I'll need some of your FC expertise on this one.

please and thatnk you.

Out of curiosity, why does it matter? As far as I know, the only difference between the systems was the player itself. And, if IIRC from my S4 models, the CD player and the tape player models had the same dimensions.

because I want to buy 1fastT2's gauge panel.

he says it will only fit cars that didn't originally have the CD player.

I don't want to buy something that will not fit perfectly.

Interesting, I didn't think there was a difference. Anyone know the exact difference?

according to him, it will fit a CD player-equipped car but will require the plastic filler pieces.

I don't want to use plastic filer pieces.

See this is a classic example of the wrong question being asked, with the wrong title and there needing to be 10 posts just to figure out what is really wanted to know.

Only the S4 models have the issue with 1fastT2's gauge panel and weither or not it is a model equipped with CD.

Being that you have a S5, all S5 models have the same small non CD sized opening (even if they had a CD player). So 1fastT2's gauge panel will fit just fine in any S5.

Again, only on S4 models is it a concern weither or not there was a CD player or AE system.

So instead of asking the real question... you wasted all this time with BS.
