Cats ??
Hi,
I want know what are the advantages of pulling out cats. Will there be a noticeable increase in hp ? Will it sounds to strong ? Any others informations will be interesting.
Thanks
Alex

on 86-(???) N/A models use back pressure
from cats to operate 5&6th ports...
around 4,ooo rpms there is enough back pressure
to open 2 more ports allowing more air flow
into engine.
but there are ways to make them function via
other means..like on later model N/A that use
smog pump pressure to operate ports
as far as effects go ...with non working ports
is you engine will not have the right amount of air
flow at higher rpms..
but if you wire them open you will loose bottom end...
now if you have ported engine thats another can of worms.....
