Cat or no Cat??

I live in a state where they don't have emmissions testing.

I have a n/a 1986 RX7.

Do you guys think that I should run it with a catless exhaust, leave the cat in, or just go with a high flow cat like a bonez one????

no cat will give you the most power, although your 6-ports probably won't work because without cats your exhaust will have little backpressure which is how your 6-ports are actuated. Your choices are to go with Catless and find some other way to open your 6-ports, or wire them open. Otherwise you can get a superflo CAT and you 6-ports should still function normally, but you will have slightly less HP then with no Cats.

Hey, I cut mine off. That worked wonders, but then again...mine is an 1989 whose six ports are run off of the air pump. I don't know about the earlier ones. But yeah, I would just say cut them off! Well...I didn't "cut them off", I hit a really big armadillo, and that knocked them plum off! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

if you take of the cat, replace it with a fabed pipe, don't make your own. mine has a air pump line and it works great. its alittle smelly but who cares? and its great power!
