MB CAS Wiring question

Having some timing issues with 89 Turbo. When bought car, the connectors were changed out from stock on CAS and wiring harness.

Checked '88 and '91 wiring schematics, both show CAS wire colours as blue, green, red and white..

Actual wire colours on CAS are green, red, white and white/ black stripe.

Could someone check theirs and see if they have similar or should I just assume the white/black stripe would match up to the blue wire.

Do the wires actually match up as indicated in FSM? ie red to red, green to green etc.
Regards

The colors match thus the Blue should likely be a match to the White/Black wire. You could look at the CAS wire colors at the ECU to verify that the wire at the ECU is White/Black. Pin 1P is normally Blue.

why don't you just use a multi-meter and do a continuity test to see which wires go where?

What manual are you looking at?? I am looking at 1991 Wiring Diagram which indicates CAS as Pin 3G - White, Pin 3H - Red, and Pin 3E - Blue.

Strangely, in the ECU terminal voltages description a couple of pages later, the colors are listed as 3G - Black , 3H - White, 3E Red ..if the colors being referenced are are in fact the actual wire colors.

Pin 1P is listed as the heat hazard sensor.

Sorry as I relied on the S4 and not S5. Of course use the S5 diagram and apply the info attained to the Blue (W/B) wire.
