CAS question...
CAS question...
I'm swapping in an s4 n/a block and i need to know how to get the CAS out?
Also this is going into a 85' GSL-SE....i already have the oil pan off the s4 block and now im trying to the front cover off.

There is a single bolt/nut just on the top of the CAS, to the left side of the engine. Its pretty obvious which one it is. That's all that holds the CAS in there.
However, it does use an o-ring at the top, and the top is prone to some aluminum oxidation, which tends to make it seize in place. First, remove that nut/bolt, then turn the CAS back and forth and pull up- HARD, and it will come out. If you cannot turn the CAS, lightly tap it back and forth with a rubber mallet until you can.
The front cover removes via 6 bolts, at which point you can then pry it off carefully.
