anybody happen to know what size / threadpitch is the nut that locks down the CAS?

i dropped mine the other day and it dissappeared on me.

this is a 91 NA but i cant imagine that being different.

 

its a 10mm nut, there are about 4 million of them on your car.

i have tried using many 10mm nuts from several rx-7 related sources.
nothing seems to want to screw all the way down. there seems to be a smaller thread about halfway down the stud and then it gets larger. maybe i am just crazy, but i swear thats the way it looks and every nut i have tried only goes halfway down on it. (the original nut went on fine every time)

 

Stripped threads and or crossthreaded threads. Remove the stud and install a new one.
