A Fuel Rail/PD question

So anyhow, i finally made up my mind, and ordered things i needed to replace my Pulsation Dampner. Marren PD, and also fittings and what not for that. So that wont be here for another 1-2 weeks. So i also got a friend to give me a Banjo Bolt to do the Banjo Bolt mod, as a bandaid for now.

Warp Speed to Last Year:

I thought i had some issues with my Injectors, so i decided to rip them out and get them cleaned and flow tested. While doing that, i also saw that my Pulsation Dampner had the screw out. So, when i went back to the place to get my injectors, i took the PD with me, and asked him what i can do. (since to be honest, i didnt check the forum here). His suggestion was (along with another FC owner) was to loctite the screw threads and screw it back in, until sung (dont over tighten or anything). Then to mix up some JB Weld and fill the PD (the part where it dips in and the screw goes in, and then to place the cap back on. (was low on funds soo this was my option). So i did that, and i ran the car for about 3 months. (started fixing stuff late summer and ran the car till like the beginning of november just before it got really cold, and started to snow).

Warp Speed to Today:

I did all this research because i am doing a rebuild (starts the weekend of May 13th, so 2 weeks), and looked into things i wanted to upgraded and fix and what not. And one thing came to mind was the PD. So i made a choice to do with the Marren unit, but after all the horror stories i read, i got freaked and thought, hey maybe i should check on mine. So i took everything apart and it all seems to be good thus far. The PD is there and i cant even get the cap off (since the JB Weld is still inplace). Now i am thinking to put everything back together and run it for 2 weeks and be done with it (like do the rebuild and what not). Or since i got a banjo bolt and all that, Do that right now and then 2 weeks later i do the rebuild? I mean i think its fine to me, however i aint a expert, nor do i know how to properly check the PD. So if anyone can shed some light on this please do!

Also, i tired to get the injector clips off, how the **** do you do it?! LOL its a pain in the ***, and i didnt wanna break anything so if anyone can also shed some light on that as well.

THANX!

I use a small flathead to take the retainer clip off the injector plug. Be careful, those plugs are BRITTLE!

If your PD fix is still holding, you could probably continue to drive, although the banjo bolt is a good idea.

With the JB weld in there, if the stop screw was also in there buried under the JB weld, it would be the same as banjo bolt anyway.

The screw normally moves in and out in operation.

Not a good idea to epoxy over the screw.
This causes unnecessary stress to the rubber diaphram inside and would cause damage.

Did you really do your research?
I have a PD write-up on my website...
