next time post at least some info. linking to othe sites is a PITA.
do a compression test, listen to the compression, something to check it. it sounds to me like there is a decent chance it isnt blown
funny noise is probably the BAC. its normal.
did your coolant level drop when it smoked?
pat

Don't think the coolant level dropped at all, I can check leter. This weekend when I change the plugs I'll crank it and see if I can hear compression. Thanks.

first and foremost.....never use autolite spark plugs!!!! they are the crappiest plugs on the face of the planet. get some NGKs and throw them in there.
be sure to do a compression test to verify the compression is at or above 80PSI on each bounce. the sound may be cracks in the exhaust manifold which could also relate to a rough idle condition. so first check the compression, if it is ok then replace the plugs, if it still is acting wierd then pull the exhaust off and check that if you have any question that it may be where the sound is coming from, you can usually see some smoke coming from the cracks and or some black spots where the cracks are.
good luck

My dad's supposed to be picking up some NGK's right now, I know the Autolites suck and I'm getting rid of them ASAP. Before I put the new ones in, I'll crank it a few times to see if I can hear if there is cmpression.

Got the comp test done! Both front and back maxed at about 90, but both sounded exactly the same with no plug or tester in. Looks like its not the engine. In fact, I'm 99% sure its the water temp sensor. Somehow the green connector part got busted off, I posted a pic on Team FC3S. Thanks to everyone that helped.
