Me and my buddy were taking into consideration on doing a twin turbo conversion. We were wanting to know on what all would need to be completed and the price to obtain this goal.

im thinking a single meduim sized turbo with all the FMIC and piping and new spark plugs and wires and an msd ignition and new injectors and fuel pump and a halteck E6x ( the basic mods ) would be a lot better

just my opinion though

Well I'd start by searching, not being a dick or anything, but see what you can find.

The exhaust ports and bolts 'look' identical on the 13b to the 13bre, so in theory the manfold should fit.
However, is there enoughe room in the engine bay?
Also I have no idea how a twin turbo works together, but I've been told numerous times that the TT setups never yeild as much high end as a single turbo setup, not for the 13b anyways.

Are you talking about a 13b-rew or converting a 13bt to some sort of custom twin setup, because either way your going to be wasting alot of money. a 13bt with a nice single turbo setup would make more hp and be much easier to do. most FD drivers who want nice power switch to single turbos as well, it really isnt worth the effort. in my opnion atleast, but if you have the money and time it is possible.

Are you talking about using stock twin sequential turbos from the FD3S 13B-REW or the Cosmo 13B-RE?
The FD3S 13B-REW twin turbos do not fit - it hits the lower intake manifold.
The Cosmo 13B-RE twin turbos are questionable.
Both types of twin turbos are not very reliable.

Or are we talking about twin parallel twin turbos?
1) Get access to a good welder to make you the custom exhaust pipes
2) Get an aftermarket stand-alone EMS - ~$2,000 to have it installed and fully tuned
3) Custom intake and downpipe adapters, miscellaneous oil and / or coolant lines - ~$500 for fancy SS AN hardware and SS braided lines
4) Pair 'o turbos - anything from plain jane T3's to super expensive Garrett GT-series GT2x's - $600 to $2,500
5) I'd also highly recommend rebuilding (and porting) your engine for best reliability
Total cost?
Anywhere from $4,000 to upwards of $7,000+...

stock 13B twins will not fit woithout modification, and even if they do fit, they wont work right without the FD ecu.

a custom sequental TT setup would work alright, and net you a better power curve than a single turbo, but would cost a lot and be a big pain in the ***. if you want more power, just get a nice single turbo. if you want more low end, use a supercharger.

the TT idea...

My buddy's father was wondering about it because he wanted to do it to his GTU.I knew the set-up was done before just didn't know if it was a common occurance for a T2 modded to TT. I'm planning on doing a stage 3 stage 4 swap over this winter...so it's time to start saving..

This just confuses me even further.
Are you talking about turbo'ing an NA?
You realize a "GTU" is an NA, no matter how to slice it.
I think you're some kid trying to impress us...
So far, it's not working.

lol this is not gran turismo 3, stage 3 or 4? i'll do a stage 4 upgrade for you for 76,000 credits but youll need a racing intercooler and engine balancing to relize the full potential of the engine. also tires are the best first upgrade you can do, try some racing super slicks before any other upgrades.

I also think it would eb alot betetr to go for a single turbo, I am not sure what your talking about n/a to turbo, tii to new turbo, but in short as far as i ahve been told by experienced pros a single turbo will do you alot better for the money.

^ i know right? its seriously been a long time since i've heard someone use those terms to describe upgrading cars. people play games and think that you can just slap on parts left and right and expect everything to work perfectly and everything is easy and you dont need special tools and thousands of man hours....ha they have alot to learn. for this reason is why we see so many crappily modded cars thinking they are the ****. i was driving home after a long night out and an explorer sport pulled up next to me and kept staring at me like he was going to kill me. too bad for me i got stuck in a lane with a puddle but i launched anyways making a huge burnout with smoke across the intersection on the way out yet still was ahead of him and pulled, shifted pulled more, shifted pulled more...shutdown laughed my *** off. then i was asked if i had a stage 3 turbo or what....i laughed even more b/c i dont have a damn turbo. all i saw was sheer dissapointment.

I have:
- Engine port and polish
- Stage 2 Turbo upgrade
- Racing intercooler
- Stage 3 clutch upgrade
- Semi-Racing suspension kit
- Racing Exhaust
- Stage 1 weight reduction

Need to do a few more easy races for cash before I can do the Racing Modification, unless I win the LM-1, then my car will be for sale...brb
