Carbureted Tii motor in a FC questions

I have an s5 tii motor that I'm going carbed on and putting into my '86 FC. I'm wondering a few things

1. I know that I need to block off a few things that I won't be using anymore like on the front cover and what not but wondering if there's anything weird I have to do with anything like rerouting or something? (also should I just use the front cover from the 6 port to mitigate having to block off anything for it or is that not advisable/doable)?
2. Just confirming, but for spark I can use a first gen dizzy and convert to DLIDFIS and use the FC leading coil. If that's true are both the s4 6 port and the s5 tii coils the same or do I need to use a specific one?
3. For wiring can I just pull the engine harness(I'm used to first gens so not sure if it's a whole separate subharness like it is on them). I don't need the stock cluster gauges for oil pressure and coolant temp since I have digital gauges for that but would still like the tach and speedo and everything else to work on it.
4. Is there anything weird that you ran into during the swap that was unexpected that I should know about?

I don't know if this will help anything, but maybe it will but for the motor it's a s5 Tii with a full bridge with an rx8 e shaft with balanced and clearanced rotors. RX8 stat gears and possibly external oil galley but not sure if I want to run that or not but will have the accessibility to either way since the oil galley is being realigned on the rear stat gear. For intake I'm thinking of going 48 IDA but not 100% sure yet it honestly probably just depends on what intake manifold I can find. Also running to s4 trans and driveshaft and rear end.

1. if you have an N/A front cover, then use it, but if you don't, then use the T2 one. there's no need to go out of your way to get one. you may have to fashion your own MOP rod depending on which intake you get.

2. yes. you should use the Gen 1 distributor. here are some threads: https://www.rx7club.com/search.php?searchid=17164555

3. the speedo is cable-driven, just like the Gen 1.
