Why was vacuum baggin quoted at $10K? Christ, my entire vacuum system doesn't cost that much.
There was another term he used with bagging but I do not remember it. It was said along these lines:

"We could XXXXXX and bag them but that would cost around $10K" Maybe the other term he used was a cause to the price. Either way, the hoods that he has made are very clean and I am not worried about the weight. I can't wait for my hood!

I guess this is one of those times where it is good to be first in line hehe

hmmm n/a or t2... do i plan to t2 the vert later on? Hmm... I'm gonna stick with the n/a carbon fiber hood. I need to replace my half painted half primer, full of dents hood anyhow. I'm hoping to order one by the end of next month... Hopefully, group buy will still be available.

I will have updates on them regarding price and timing for the buy on the website. I don't want to break any rules here.

The scoop will be molded into the hood, meaning it won't break on you anymore It will though be fully functional for use with the stock IC.

Was that other term "autoclave"? If you use a thermoset resin, vacuum bag it and cure it in an autoclave you get true aerospace grade CF that is strong enough to run over and just leave tire marks and make it thin enough to be 7Lbs (Hmm, just like the CF race hood skin that is already available for the FC...)

I believe it was. That sounds familiar. Where is this 7lb race hood skin availible at? That is the first I have heard of it.

That would be funny

Oh, I forget exactly who made them. There is a thread or post about it. It was a race shop that specializes in FCs and they are race hoods w/ no headlight cut outs. Maybe not glossy and pretty, but strong and light for about the same price.

Let's see if I can find it.

Well, not exactly. The race version that we will release will cost less than the street version because less materials and labor are involved to make it. See we aren't backwards like alot of companies these days that charge regular price for something and then markup the race version 50% just because it says or is titled "race"

Pricing won't be availible for sure on that until we have out the street production N/A and TII hoods.

We are hoping to have a finished hood on Monday or Tuesday (Nov 4th or 5th) We can't rush them though. It pays to do the R&D and make it right the first time rather than release a crappy product. I refuse to sell something that isn't everything I expect it to be.

LMAO, That is because it IS a professional shop

Hey, after the fall out on my body kit thread (still holding the record in the FC section for most posts and views ) I figured I owed you guys one.

I learned my lesson that until I KNOW for sure about something that is gonna be made, you won't hear it from me!
