ugh.....obd systems... performance, or regulations?
no matter what you do, your going to have to run all new wiring just as insurance.
Unless you got the patience and confidence in your dry rotted vacumm line system.. something is bound to happen, its more or less the balance between performance and reliability to carb

I beg to differ... Mine is carb with no mods inside, no intercooler, to4b turbo, 10psi and it makes 297hp to the wheels... I'm not saying that it is the way to go but I must defend my breed... LOL

Your post is 2.5 years late, out of context with the original discussion and doesn't actually prove anything other than peak power being dependant on airflow, not the fuel delivery method. Thanks for that.

2.5 years??? Did you happen to read the date on the two posts above mine???

I have gotten it up to 20 psi without breaking it and ran 11:63 then back to 10 psi just by changing two jets. Now tell me... How do you figure fuel non-depency running @ 20 psi???

And yes I did stick to the actual first post, it is not my fault that the thread got hijacked and turned into a battle between carb and efi... Anyways I just wanted to prove that carbs work and can perfom very very well otherwise we would not had been able to run 10:80 back in 1999 on our then street Rx-7 with an H3 and holley setup but again what would I know about that right?

The one you quoted (mine) was 2.5 years old.

If you really wanna have this argument, go back and read the whole thread from the beginning. I can't be bothered repeating myself other than to say drag racing and peak power prove nothing when comparing carbs to EFI.

Anyways I just wanted to prove that carbs work and can perfom very very well otherwise we would not had been able to run 10:80 back in 1999 on our then street Rx-7 with an H3 and holley setup...
But who ever said it wouldn't work? Colour TV's superceded B&W ones many years ago but I don't need to go watch a B&W TV to prove that they still work, because nobody cares. You haven't proven anything not known for years.
