carb cleaner injection

So, i was thinking the other day. I wonder what would happen if you set up a carb cleaner injection. Like 1 or 2 nozzles that hook up to the intake somewhere.

Ive gotten engines to run on carb cleaner alone, and it burns really hot and the idle jumps high. Its kinda an interesting thought!

Are you talking about for performance or something????
Jees... that wouldn't even come close to working. Carb cleaner does NOT burn well.
Try a leaf blower on the intake instead, I hear those are AWESOME!

Just as long as you have a fuel computer to compensate, I think it would work pretty well as a performance enhancer due to the aromatics and alcohol in the mixture, but those solvents may eat up your gaskets pretty fast, and it would be more economical to set your car up for alcohol injection or to use some type of aromatic fuel mixture.

ATF is for sealing.. like a flooded motor.

look at http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/ site and you shall learn a lot

PS.. "certain" kinds of alcohol is way cheaper than carb cleaner

in all honesty i just wanted to see everyone flame me. hmm... ive started a few motors on carb cleaner before, so i thought it would be funny to see peoples reactions. Im very surprised i didnt get like 100 posts about how stupid i am. Thats what i was expecting.

anyways, i wouldnt recommend it, it eats away at everything and would counteract the oil that was in the chambers. But its an interesting thought...

reminds me of how i could only get the lawnmower to start whn i poured rubbing alch. righ into the intake port. worked like a charm, but i dont think it extends to rotaries quit like that. and plaes dont waste bandwith if you are TRYING to get flamed. come on now.
