Car wont turn off

Car wont turn off

I have an S4 T2, i upgraded to an FD alternatortoday, and I dont know what I did, but when I turn my ignition off and remove my key from the column my car stays on unless I unplug my fuel pump, is there somethng I did with my ignition ro screw omething up when I did this? Any input would be helpful

You have the wires on backwards on the alternator. The two small wires.

my 99 protege does that sometimes when i leave the driving lights on. turn the lights off and the car will shut off... i love my little protege
