Car wont start, intake problem

Ok here's the story, I have an 88 rx7. I saw a thread somewhere on how to make a custom airbox for an aftermarket filter. So today I went and took out my stock air box, to take measurements of the bay area where the custom box will be. Anyway, I drive this car on a semi-regular basis, so I put the oem airbox and everything back into the bay. Now when I try to start the car, the engine cranks but just wont turn over. Any suggestions?

Make sure you plugged the mass air back in, I've forgotten before.

I got it back in, the 3 prongs (female connectors?) the MAF connects to the box came off, I used needle nose pliers to get em back in. I'll take another look and provie pics of everything tomorrow.

No... its not. He broke it.

I'd say get a new AFM. Or re-assemble without messing it up if you haven't already.. AFM's are rather sensitive if you crack-the-case from my understanding.

SHOULD be okay just screwing that piece back on.... but, I wouldn't waste my time on something I could get used for super cheap.

Right, it's def the connection that you broke.

I did the same thing when I first got my 7. There are actually safety clips on that plug that you need to pop out then the plug just pulls right out. Only way that I was able to get it running again was to get a new MAF. Got one right from the parts for sale forum for $60. Met the guy and had a nice smooth transaction. Good luck!

Buy a Haynes manual to. It will serve you well. Just think a few minutes of reading could have prevented all of this

Uhhmmmmm..... this isn't even related to this guys problem. And recent Homeland Security laws have been enacted that state that all HIJACKERS must be deported, banned, or hanged.
