car wont start Help??

Hey guys,

So last night i park my car running fine at about 11pm or so. This morning going to work 6am, I turn the key and BAM nothing not even cranking. At fist i thought i left something on threw the night like a light or something. But all my eletrical seems to be working great when the key is on and the battery voltage is good. So not having much time i roll her down he hill pop the cluch and walaa sh's purring again. Driving perfect no warnig lights CEL's or anything. So im at a light and decide to see if she will start, Shut her off. Turn key all electrical is good bam nothing not even cranking or clicking

So i roll her down a hill again and drive to work fine. Get to work dont have much time but i pop the hood nothing seemed to be disconected but i will go on my lunch to look further into it. Any ideas wha to look for or test i can quickly do to find out where the problem is?

Thanks

Adam

+1. Starter could also be fried. Maybe just the solenoid itself. You could try tapping it with a hammer while holding the key on as well.

Can anyone confirm that it's not the coil? Since it has spark while driving? I really dont have that kind of extra cash..

You turn the key to Start. Power goes from the ignition switch to the clutch interlock switch on the clutch pedal. IF the clutch pedal is depressed, the power continues on to the starter cut relay OR if you have no THEFT PROTECTION, it just goes to a BLUE jumper plug beneath the Trail coil assy. That BLUE jumper plug has one wire that jumpers one wire to another in the electrical plug it's attached to. The power leaves the BLUE jumper plug (or starter cut relay if you have Theft Protection) and goes to the starter solenoid. The small wire on the starter solenoid. Starter now turns over.

I'd have some buddys at work push your car by hand to get it started. When you get home check and see if the clutch interlock switch on the clutch pedal is still functioning.

IF you can find the BLUE plug I mentioned, you can pull it off the plug it's attached to. Then get a piece of wire bare on each end and jumper from the battery positive post to the BLACK/WHITE wire in the plug the BLUE JUMPER was attached to. Starter will turn over if the starter solenoid is any good. CAr out of gear when you do that or the car will run you over.

Ok,

Just got off the phone with the Dealer, They didnt call me so i had to call them. Anyway, The tech said it's the starter motor, ( same as starter???) And also the starter was missing a bolt and just hanging there loosley, So im assuming thats part of the reason it went.

Any whoo im waiting on her to make up a price for me with the starter and a full tune up including coolant flush and all fluids changed and they also said my front brakes are really low so depending on the prices i will get those changed as well.

Any body have a guess on what kind of price im looking at for all of this. Im hoping it's less than 600. Because im going on vacation next week and I will be in FL for 10 days and Id like to have the extra cash. lol.

Ill let u guys no.
