car wont past 4 grand

car wont past 4 grand

every time i hit 4000 rpm it feels like i hit a brick wall i think its my secondary injectors and all of the sudden my oil pressure gage doesn't work...... what do u think?

If it's hesitating and then picks up, it could be the 3800RPM hesitation. Check the oil pressure sensor connection (below the oil filter area, with the plug that slides in from the side, onto the pin at the back of the mushroom shaped sensor).

yea i think thats it my starter is bad too and i was banging the hell out of it to start... .. where do i search this 3800 rpm thing

Wrong, this is not a hesitation. He said "it feels like I hit a brick wall", which is a completely different problem.

Most likely this is one of the secondary injectors not firing at all. With only half the fuel being injected the mixture is too lean to ignite, so the engine drops to one rotor exactly like the rev limiter. It could be a broken/loose/dirty connector, bad injector, cat wire, etc. Inspect the connectors first since they're the easiest to get to and the most likely culprit. Test the injectors by putting 12V across the pins and listening for the click. Then check the wire for continuity between the injector connector and ECU connector.
