car wont idle so im guessing theres a vacuum leak, how to check for leak w/ no idle

finally finished up the FD UIM swap and car starts but wont idle, so how do i check for vacuum leaks if car wont idle? ive heard of using carb cleaner and spraying and were idle rises theres the leak but my car wont idle. or can i check anything else that would cause the car not to idle

any help would be appreciated

get someone to hold the gas while you spray for leaks.

yes, the rpm will rise and the idle will smooth out momentarily.

if you use some starting fluid and spray around, you'll notice a rise in rpms when you spray it over the leak.
