car won't idle

I have a 87 turbo II with a newly rebuild engien in it.
well the problem is that when the car starts up you have to rev it to keep it on, the wireing on the car is really messed upand the connectors that go to the injectors are cracked or broken. Could it be that there not geting a good connection. once the rpms drop to 1000 the car just dies. could it be a vacume leak.

thanks
Eric

vacuum leak is definately a possibility. but from the sounds of your wiring, you really need to do something about that. I had one sensor not plugged in correctly and my car would not idle at all. just check all your connections and vac. lines.
