I had a jumper wire comming off the tac lead on the leading coil while checking the idel and it slipped off and grounded out. Now the car bogs badly and surges. I also replaced the mufflers and cats 2 days ago. I don't know if I screwed the igniter or is it possible that the cats are burnt up already. Thanks for the help.

First, bumps are not allowed in here.

Second, the tach lead spits out a ground signal, so it's not supposed to hurt anything.

I dunno about anythign you did but from experience ive know the fuel filter or water temp sensor to cause that behavior.

 

thanks for the help guys, but I found the problem. It seems i did fry the ingniter, just took it a day or so to go out. Replaced both the coil and ingniter and it is running fine.
Still having some electrical issues with the pass. side wiring harness though. Hopfully we will get them straightened out in a day or to. ( bad hand sorry for the spelling.)
